Hello, I am running a short survey to measure how language is evolving.
Language always evolves. We used to call them “Electronic Mail” messages before they morphed to “e-mail” and now simply “email.” The word “internet” was once initial caps, as were “telephone” and “phonograph” many, many years ago. We now say “phone” and “MP3.”
I am noticing another change in language. Specifically, the use of emojis in place of punctuation. Would you be so kind as to participate in a very short survey? Responses are anonymous.
Thanks, in advance, for your time.
Sincerely,
Joe Diorio
